Seen from the water, the fortress reads as a closed ring of stone, its tower and ramparts defining the small island at the entrance to Boka Bay. This nineteenth century structure has been restored as Mamula Island by Banyan Tree, a hotel of 32 suites and rooms. Within its old geometry, pools, terraces and a private beach introduce a different rhythm to the walls.
The tower contains Sky Suites, each 94 square metres and finished with stone, oak and natural fabrics. In the crown of the main tower, the 122 square metre Panoramic Suites use floor to ceiling glass and private terraces. Eight 46 square metre Adriatic Balcony Rooms sit among greenery. Three restaurants, four bars, three pools and the 360 wellness spa shape the stay, alongside private speedboat tours across Boka Bay.
