Montenegro waited a long time for a name of this weight. One&Only chose Portonovi, on a quiet stretch of the Herceg Novi riviera, for its first resort in Europe, and opened it in May 2021 where the open sea meets the sheltered bay. Jean-Michel Gathy designed the resort as a modern take on Montenegrin heritage, with local craftsmanship, open fireplaces and a palette drawn from the surrounding landscape.
