From the first coffee at eight to the last cocktail after midnight, Square carries the day at the heart of Portonovi marina as an all-day restaurant and bar. Led by head chef Nikola Markotanović, the kitchen draws on Mediterranean roots and Middle Eastern influences, without a fixed direction. The house describes itself as rooted in place and moving with time; its dining room and terrace sit on the water within Portonovi Resort.
That freedom runs from homemade falafel and crispy lamb rich with spice to a burger list that runs from the classic to the Lamb Smash, with halibut in tempura alongside. The bar mixes a Montenegrin Smash of gin, pomegranate, lime and basil, the wine list keeps Vranac and Chardonnay from Montenegrin cellars, and the marina supplies the backdrop.
The doors open at eight for the first coffee and close at one in the morning. One address covers breakfast by the quay, lunch between the berths, aperitivo and dinner on the square. Reservations are taken by telephone or WhatsApp on the same number.
