Nineteen minutes from Tivat airport, the marina promenade of Luštica Bay, the new coastal town rising on Montenegro's Luštica peninsula, has The Chedi at its centre. It opened in July 2018 as the first hotel of the development, with architecture by tvsdesign of Atlanta and interiors by GG & Grace that take their cues from ocean living.
Inside are 100 rooms and 11 suites, crowned by a sea view penthouse above the harbour, and a spa that draws on the healing traditions of Bali, India and Tibet. Dining moves from Adriatic cooking at The Spot to wood fired pizza at The Rok by the water, while the marina below fills the promenade with life.
Since summer 2025, the hotel has had a third restaurant, The Japanese, operating as an address in its own right. The Chedi Beach opens from 1 May to 31 October, while two complimentary indoor kids clubs welcome children aged three to twelve. The hotel is part of The Leading Hotels of the World and, since October 2023, of the Virtuoso Hotels & Resorts programme, two memberships a single property rarely holds together.
A summer wedding on the marina promenade, a family week between two kids clubs and a beach open from May to October, a corporate retreat that concludes in the spa. The hotel is designed for all three, nineteen minutes from the airport.
Ceremonies take place on the marina front; dinners are held at The Spot or The Japanese; the morning after is reserved for the spa or, from May to October, the beach club. Tivat airport is thirteen kilometres away, allowing guests arriving from abroad to be at the table that evening.
